I’m not naturally brave. But many times I find my braveness and bigness through those around me.
To the mom who leaves an abusive relationship in the dark of the night with a suitcase in hand and three small children in tow not knowing where you will go or how you will provide for your babies — you make me want to be brave.
To the tattered old man who has no family to call his own and no pillow to lay his head on as he curls up under the bridge on a cold winter’s night — you make me want to be brave.
To the soldier who gets 24 hours notice that you will deploy to combat areas unknown requiring you to leave your family and routined life as is until further notice — you make me want to be brave.
To the teenage girl who stands up tall for her Christian beliefs, serving others, and teaching while others talk behind her back — you make me want to be brave.
There are many of you who make me want to be brave.

My daughter makes me brave! My timid, quiet, fifteen year old daughter stood up in a class at school for her Christian beliefs. She said she was scared, but that she knew she had to do it. She inspires me to be brave.
I remember my son’s senior year at the talent show him and a group 3 others, a band, performed the song “Oh how He loves me!” I so thrilled over their braveness. It was amazing to watch as the spirit of God fell on that whole assembly. The boys just kept playing and playing as the youth flooded toward the stage singing ever so loudly. Whether you were a Christian or not that evening, you felt the love of God upon that place.
That’s the kind of braveness I want. Our kids are awesome!!!

I am learning that God created the blue-print for my life so it is up to HIM [ not me] to see that everything He designed me to do, gets done. I am about to retire and am growing TRUST in Him and noting that every time when He moves me on, it is to something better- so why would He stop now ……..
