Have you ever had your nice comfortable world shaken up by something unexpected?
In Graffiti, my new ebook (download or read reviews here), I tell of the first time I stepped out of my nice little routine in to the unexpected:
“The first encounter of me trying to step out into this new place Jesus was leading me wasn’t pretty. It was awkward. Was I successful? It would seem a big NO would be the answer; however, I’d say “yes.” Because I stepped out and tried, I was successful.
Your journey is all about the steps you take in obedience, baby steps at first. I’ve taken many more since that day and with each scary step, God blesses me abundantly! If you are reading this book, chances are God is stirring something new within your heart. Be brave. Be courageous. There is an incredible journey ahead for you as you head down a different street.
It’s a journey that will surprise you with twists and turns. This journey, you can be sure, will leave graffiti scribbles all over your soul. This is a journey that you will surely not want to miss! You will progress forward with each brave step you take.”
My two world’s continually collide.
I long to stand back and live out of my comfortable life, but my heart draws me to the broken uncomfortable world. My routine wants to take me to the nice suburban part of town, but my soul beckons me to the impoverished streets.
The two worlds collide. It’s messy for sure. But I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything.
How about you?
Have you ever stepped out of your comfort zone to collide with another way of life?
Join me today at 3pm Central over at Marnie and Friends at her #1 Blog Talk Radio program. We will be talking of these two worlds and how it’s possible to juggle them both. You can also download the notes from the show by clicking here.
