Chosen to be part of Mary DeMuth’s launch team for her new book, Everything, I was ecstatic! Seriously excited to get a preview copy and learn from the best!
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the pre-release and devour the words she had penned. I needed a refresher, a reminder of my Everything as Mary writes, “I pen these words as a fellow struggler who is learning that what we think about God matters, how we allow Him to reign in our hearts matters, and how we obey Him in the moment matters. It all matters. Everything.”
I began to devour her words. They were hitting home, resonating with my heart. Then life happened. Deadline after deadline. Phone calls of those with needs, after phone call. Running here and needing to run there. I could sense my Everything slipping away as everything crowded in. Why didn’t I stop it?
Why didn’t I slay the world’s demands and pivot back to my Everything?
Not only was Mary’s book not getting read, but the Book of Everything was being pushed away by a crowded day with every line of my planner screaming “I’m your everything!”
When everything screams “pick me as your everything,” you lose sight of your Everything. Have you noticed how this happens and we seem unaware?
I’m turning a deaf ear to the cries and returning to my Everything. Not just Mary’s book Everything, but God’s Book of Everything!
Sneaking away for a few days my Everything will be restored to my Everything! I can already feel the fresh breath whisking through my soul.
Have you lost sight of Everything recently?
Do you want to join me in a voyage to regain Everything?
For fresh insight, you can read the first few chapters of Mary’s new book HERE.
Let her words lead you to find your Everything.
