There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,a time for war and a time for peace.Eccleseastes3:1-8 NIV
With the official date of Fall approaching, I am reminded that our seasons change. Although the calendar may say it is Fall, down here in south Texas it will still seem like summer for weeks to come.
Such is life. Others may be saying it is time to dance and laugh, but yet you still need a few more weeks or months to mourn. You might hear from others, now it’s time to get organized and get back to work, but for this season you decide to enjoy all your little ones running around the house.
Without question we all go through seasons of life. And it stands to reason that if you haven’t been through a specific season you can’t understand what others are going through in that season.
However, we can also take comfort knowing that if we are in a season of life we would care not to be in, just as the Fall season will quickly come and go, this season too shall pass.
