I recently took some time to walk a park with my favorite camera and lens in hand. It was a beautiful morning, a warm 75 degrees, sunny, and not much wind.
Spring was definitely on the horizon as birds chirped and flowers were beginning to bloom.
Beautiful brightly colored flowers were stretching up tall in the bright sunlight and just beginning to open. While I could see the color the flowers would most likely be, I couldn’t picture the whole flower. What shape would it be? Would other colors be mixed with the yellow that shown?
Enjoying my oneness with nature, I realized we are each like a budding flower. There is so much hidden potential that lies within each of us. When we finally get to the point of recognizing our strength, gifts, and beauty we begin to stretch ourselves to the Son and bloom. But the glory of what the open flower will be is beyond our telling.
As we bloom —
will we stay connected to the living water for nourishment
will we persist through the daily struggle to bloom
will we develop strength to stand and
show off our God-given beauty
Oh I hope so!
You see we are all but in a bud right now, and the glory of the open flower is beyond all of our telling.
May we all persist to bloom. Do you see new signs of budding in your own life this new season of Spring?

I hope I will show my God beauty before too long. I know it is the connection to the living water that’ll allow it to happen. Wonderful post.

Girl – I think you are showing God beauty already, you just don’t realize it. Keep soaking up that Living Water and you’ll keep blooming. I’ll be blooming right along side of you. Blessings!

Yes, Alene. With the Son shining warmly on my face, I feel the itch to start spreading my petals, but I don’t think my growing pains are over.
I’ll be striving…persisting to bloom with you, friend. Thank you for your wonderful encouragement!
(and I’m a bit behind, but I did stop by Must Love God today and comment — beautiful!)
All for Him,
Nikki

Sweet friend – my growing pains are not over either, still seeking, searching, serving, and striving!!! But when we get to see some petals bloom what a reward that is for being diligent in Him. Your encouragement always rocks!!!
