For years I was afraid to step out. Fear paralyzed me and it was easy to let the comfortable life become my norm.
Just like the rest of America, while I was comfortable my soul was craving more. So I dutifully filled that need for more with a craving for bigger houses, newer cars, name-brand clothes, and even bigger numbers in stats. My unfulfilled soul left me frustrated.
Have you ever been there?
You’re trying to do the right thing, you’re serving God, and using your gifts but to no avail — you’re still frustrated with life.
If that is you, listen in to this podcast as we look at why this might be.
It’s time to move beyond comfortable.

1. Our comfortable lives are actually suffocating us.
God did not create us to live boxed in living the same routine day-in and day-out. [tweet that]
2. Radical doesn’t happen in the comfortable.
It’s time to take baby steps towards the radical life God intended you to live.
Book mentioned: Graffiti: scribbles from different sides of the street can be found on Amazon here.
3. Chasing more of God requires us to move beyond ourselves.
It’s time to be brave and step over fear to serve others.
If you receive my weekly newsletter, you know that I’ve been risking. It is hard when you can’t see the way. Fear stifles you. The unseen holds you back. But I’m reminded that faith is built on the unseen. Faith is built in the uncomfortable.
Do you fear getting uncomfortable? What holds you back?
