Do you have a hobby, interest, or special talent? Is it something that causes you to get lost in time?
I have such a thing. It’s photography.
I love my camera. Yes, I use it for work, but my favorite all time is to just go out and capture nature, people, things randomly and let them speak to me.
Sometimes seeing the beauty of God’s creation is what my heart yearns to capture. (as seen HERE)
Other times the personality of an expression captures my mind and makes me think.
And then there are the snapshots of something that remind me of a life lesson. (HERE or HERE)
Yes, all these precious things make my heart scream capture this!
I am so thankful for my camera and lenses. (thank you God for the way you provide with my camera)
What special interest do you have that makes your heart scream?
Oh, golly I just love photography! lol When I am feeling gloomy nothing can cheer me up like a simple walk with my camera. I may be gone 5 mins and only keep one photo but my spirits are lifted! A lovely walk outside talking with the creator while I admire His creation.. I think it makes sense that I would feel better after that!
My brother enjoys photography too but he must borrow a camera. I am hoping to be able to get one for him for Christmas, hubby hasn't said ok yet. I have never sent him anything that is worth more than about 15 dollars, but now that his recovery (alcoholism) seems to be going well, I'd like to do this.. Pray with me about this decision, please.
I'm right there with you! I took up photography shortly after I began blogging. I want to use my own pictures in posts.

Your pictures are beautiful. I would have to say I am not too handy with my little point and shoot. But my iPhone takes fabulous pictures! I love to paint during worship. It's something I get totally lost in and real feel the presence of God when I do.

Absolutely beautiful Alene! I love photography but I would not suggest that it's something I'm that good at :) Last year I discovered by way of my sister-in-love that God anointed me to do something that I could never do before and that's pencil and charcoal drawing.
I LOVE IT!
Now, I am a person that could NEVER draw a straight line let alone look at something and then draw it. God gave me something that I could do that is relaxing and with my involved lifestyle, something relaxing was necessary. Now if I could just learn to crochet so I could make blankets for my GrandGirls :)
