Do you ever have those days — OK, let’s get real — maybe weeks or months where you feel as if you’re living in a black fog? Nothing seems to click. There seems to be no light. You feel you’re lost in outer-space somewhere.
You pray. Nothing.
You seek. Nothing.
You search. Nothing.
Then out of nowhere it seems that the fog begins to lift and the light begins to shine through again. Your mind thinks clearer. Your day seems organized. You feel full of energy. Everything seems right.
So, what happened?
I wish I had an answer, but I don’t know. If you know, give me a shout out.
Today, I’m so thankful for breakthroughs where out of them I feel alive and full of energy again.

Oh, my goodness. YES, I know exactly what you mean. I just posted about this very thing. I wish I understood more about the mystery of the Lord's breakthroughs. So thankful for you that you've experienced one, though. Blessings!

I have been in such depression that everything seemed gloomy, and then the a corner of the darkness lifted and the world had a touch of color again.. I think the Lord was slowly – as I would allow Him – lifting away my burdens until I could see the light again.. If I could just let go of these last few lumps of coal that I am hanging onto.. how much Son-light would shine through then? How magnificent that would be.

Amy and Amy – thanks for your insights. I wish I understood more too. What helps the light break through quicker? Why do some fogs last longer than others? I'm just full of questions still. Amy – let go of that coal and let that SON start peaking in. You'll be amazed just what one beam of light shining in can do!
