Simply put, every day, every conversation, every situation, every endeavor — your career, finances, relationships, each expression of your gifts and talents — are all an opportunity to be living out your holy calling. ~ For This I Was Born, Brian Houston
Stop by Sanctified Together and check out my article “Dot. Dot. Dot.” to learn about the punctuation of your life.
Many of us spend our lifetime trying to “find” the one thing to which God has called us — in other words, we long to know our purpose. We want to know our purpose (period). We want to claim it and then put a period there. But that limits God and our way of seeing God.
As Brian Houston says above your holy calling is lived out every day, in every situation. There is no (period). There are only commas to God’s holy calling.
Simply put . . . our purpose is to acknowledge and worship Him every day in every situation.

Just wanted to stop by and tell you that I was totally blessed by your "Dot.Dot.Dot." article.
I pray that God continues to overuse commas in my life!
BTW – I had dinner with a wonderful lady who was singing your praises! It was music to my ears!!!

You had me at "Dot" – I love grammar – and what it means. I love that God put within me enough to have a a comma before an and so that I am multi-dimensional – but I am totally excited about what is within me being an elipses . . . so much more than I can express or imagine! God was the ultimate planner – planning surprises throughout life! Thanks for such a delightful post; it was. . . (notice I did not put the 4th DOT – because that would be a period – an ending and there would be no more surprises!)
