In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9
“Alene, Daddy has gone unconscious and they are taking him to the ER.”
I was numb. “OK, I’ll be right there. I need to juggle some things around.”
Juggling schedules around, my daughter and I headed to the ER. On our way, hubby called. He was flying a Halo Flight out of Beeville, a town about an hour away, and they were delivering a very ill patient to the ER where we would soon be.
About the time we were checking Dad out of the ER; hubby flew in and delivered the patient to the ER.
As we headed home and hubby headed back to base, I was reminded of how each precious moment we are given is an unknown gift. We can plan our steps, our days and our schedules, but life happens and quickly our priorities are changed.
I’m amazed by your prayers, comments, and emails. Thanks!

God is Great all the time, he needed you all at that Hosital at that time, you most likely will never now why for sure, but be for sure that it was Gods timing…
You are in my prayers…

Alene,
I hope your dad is ok?? Isn’t it neat to know that God already is in tomorrow and knows exactly what will happen? Nothing takes HIM by surprise!! I find that so very comforting.

Wow, what a turn of events. I just love that God always goes ahead of us and arranges our circumstances. I am always humbled too when I see it so clearly because I realize that I don’t always acknowledge that Truth as I should.
I hope your dad is doing well.

How is your Dad? Hope all is well. He is blessed to have children like you and your sister who will drop whatever they are doing and come to his side during an emergency! God will bless you for that!
God bless you!

Thank you all for the prayers. My dad is at home. He could still use prayers. My 12 year old friend needing his second heart transplant could also use prayers. You always encourage me. I’m so blessed.
