How’s your Friday?
I’m excited to be kicking off Graffiti online “study and do” Monday. My soul stirs early and I awake in the wee hours of the morning, as a joyfulness arises within. I hope you’ll join in.
Living a life in a daily relationship with Christ is beyond anything I could have ever imagined.
Imagine. . .
the scared girl that was afraid of her shadow.
a worried mind of a mother.
the attack of loosing it all.
the call to speak to and teach.
the nudge to minister in the inner city.
that Jesus words it’s more blessed to give than receive are true.
I imagine I had it all wrong. That scared girl was afraid to truly live as Jesus said. She wanted it all — and all for herself. But she’s learned the hard way that Jesus blesses beyond measure when you live as he did.
And now with new eyes this is what I imagine heaven will look like.
Here’s a short scripture reading with a little glimpse of Taking it to the Streets.

I can’t imagine what life would be like if I hadn’t stepped over fear.
Is your life in Christ beyond anything you imagined?
What do you imagine heaven to be like?
Linking up with Lisa-Jo Baker for Five Minute Friday.
Jennifer 'Miner' Ferguson says
I never imagined the parts of my life as they are now. And even though there is hard, there is also tremendous joy and grace.
Anne Peterson says
We have no idea what God has in mind for us. It’s even bigger than anything we can imagine. But one thing is sure. It will involve people. God loves people.

Hi Alene
This world teaches us from an early age that the more we have, the beter off we are, but this is a lie. It is truly such a great blessing to give and nothing compares to the wonder of being filled with Him!
Happy FMF.

Thank you. I think I’m just now awakening to the hard truth of the lies. Jesus way is so much freer and simpler.

Loving the imagery in this post…the people and instances I see. I think I imagine heaven differently every time I think about it. Reunited with loved ones. Days spent with endless worship. Peace. Conversations. And then I imagine it will be 10 times sweeter.
Positively Alene says
Even sweeter — gotta love that!!! Can’t even imagine.

Sweet friend…you are inspiring. It’s awesome to hear what He is doing in and through you. “Jesus blesses beyond measure when you live as he did.” Wow…just wow. Thank you for this. :)

I’m learning that when we step out in obedience, whether we’re scared or not, JESUS comes through in such huge ways. You encourage me.
Andrew Gilmore says
I think when God calls us, we all get scared. I know I do!
Positively Alene says
It’s always comforting to know we’re not the only one. Community for sure.

So true…”I can’t imagine what life would look like either if I hadn’t stepped over fear” Thankful He takes our little acts of faith and runs with it!!

I love this. I know that God is preparing me for something. The Holy Spirit has been pressing hard against me for months now, I just have no clue what he is preparing me for. It’s like I’m looking at pieces of stained glass that are being put together to make a beautiful image, but I can’t quite make out the image yet. So, I continue to walk daily in faith and listen and prepare for what I know he will show me.
