It’s Monday! Are you doing a happy dance and singing a song? I certainly hope so.
If not, maybe it’s time to plan your week out. We get thrown off course sometimes and are frustrated by our Monday’s because we can’t see what lies ahead.
As you get out your calendar, plan yourself a productive week. Plan those things that need to get done — meetings, tasks, kids activities, time with family, phone calls, or even your writing. Plan it!
If your planning system is not working, find one that works for your functionality, personality, and style.
Once you find planning an essential, your Monday will become lighter and you will see more fabulous results as your week progresses.
I’d love to hear what type of planning or organizational system you use?
Here’s to Monday — let’s use today to take some great tips from one another.
Laura says
Organization is definitely not my strong point. And my system is almost non-existant. It is a goal for the year in fact. Thanks for the encouragement today. It was needed.

Good luck to you girl — I’ll be cheering you on!

We call Monday at work “crazy busy Monday”.
I am planner Alene. Both in writing and mentally, you know where you are doing something or in a meeting and you are already planning ahead mentally..

Hmmmmm – I think you need to teach us procrastinators!!! I’m doing better, but could use a good swift kick most days. :)

What a great idea. I started to feel a little sad because for a few years now I find myself glued to my computer for at least 8 hours a day or more. I seldom do much of anything else. I want to break free but feel a dedication to my friends. I need to find balance, I need to make plans to go out and change the rut I have fallen into.
Positively Alene says
Time management! That’s what we all need in this world of gadgets and gizmo’s that continually distract us. Your dedication needs to be to yourself and the balance you need.
Brittany Stewart says
I always mean to plan my weeks in advance, but somehow get lost in the week.
Love the encouragement.

Brittany – plan on Sunday evening. Great way to get a little focus going towards the next week.

Not sure if my last comment was saved. :)
I have a weekly quiet/reflection time that’s also a weekly planning time. I reserve this for Saturday mornings. These are my “alone” times, and I believe that it really helps me be more productive. I think the prayer component really helps, too!
Positively Alene says
Love that – I can so see a Saturday morning, a cup (ok pot) of coffee, a planner topped off with prayer. Perfect!

Right now I don’t! I’m writing, and I’m reading, and want desperately to find a good way to use my gifts. And I have this 15-year-old insomnia that will not go away and limits me much more than my pride will admit. but this is a really good reminder that I really, REALLY need to be organized – I have a limited amount of time to make a dream happen. I am an equal distance from either miracle or disaster. So thank you for the reminder Alene. Thank you, and God bless and keep you and each and every one of yours.
Positively Alene says
I always love it when you stop by. I’m sure the insomnia is wearing and frustrating at times. I can not wait to read what you are writing. I love your comment “I am an equal distance from either miracle or disaster.” Can I just say — I’m right there with you? Yes, I am. Fixing to bare my soul and see which end turns up. Blessings friend.
