What an amazing weekend! My heart, mind and soul are filled with God’s grace and peace.
The Living the Life Women’s Conference was a blessing. (Thank you my prayer warriors – God heard and answered!) God’s presence was surely in that auditorium this weekend – lives were changed. I was overcome by God’s holiness. I was overjoyed to see all His daughters from all over South Texas.
But (don’t you love the buts . . . ) upon returning home, I’m not sure what happened. The overwhelming joy and peace of His presence turned to stifling fear, doubt and frustration. After tossing and turning most of the night, I finally got up fell to my knees and spent hours in prayer. God’s peace slowly began to return.
I sleepily returned to bed when it started to rain. I began singing the chorus of Healing Rain by Michael W. Smith and finally dosed off.
Healing rain, it comes with fire So let it fall and take us higher Healing rain, I’m not afraid To be washed in Heaven’s rain . . .
Healing rain is falling down Healing rain is falling down I’m not afraid I’m not afraid.
Sunday morning excited to get to church and worship, God’s healing rain poured down in the still of my soul as Pastor Jess’ message was exactly about what I was battling in my mind all night. Thank you, God, for providing. Thank you, Jess, for obeying and delivering the message – God’s manna and bread.
Halleluljah! God “rains down manna for us to eat; and gives bread from heaven.” Psalm 78:24 Yes! He is Jehovah-Jireh when we call out to Him.
To each of you I got to meet this weekend, you are a treasure not only to me but more importantly to God.
To those who helped me this weekend, words can not say thank you adequately. hugs, hugs

I’m so glad the conference went well Alene. And that God had already gone ahead of you and prepared just what you would need after the event too. He is SO faithful!

Alene,
The theme verse for the conference–John 10:10. The enemy does not like it the Seed–the Word that was planted in our hearts through His faithful servants who delivered it. But the evil one can’t steal our joy, the Word that was planted in us. As you know, my vehicle was robbed by thieves on the way home. What they took are materials things, but the evil one can’t steal the word that was planted. We’re more determined to serve our Lord more than ever. I interrupted my blogging break to post about it. The pictures are there to. Feel free to take which ones you want.
I was so glad to be there with you and the LTL team! We were blessed! Lots of love in Christ!

Mountains have the propensity to do that…elevate us and bring us to a place of worship that is often missing in the valleys of our everyday. I know that you know this well.
Our task in the matter? Learning to recognize the enemy’s attacks as we descend and reminding ourselves that the valley is often the place where God chooses to hammer out his will in all of us.
I thank him, today, for them both. They are equally my necessary.

Alene thanks for reminding me. Sometimes God reveals Himself to us in loud resounding chorus of an uplifting time.
Sometimes He whispers a peace surpassing all understanding in words of praise we offer to Him. When He speaks to the soul it is always audible and we just have to stop and listen to His voice. Sometimes we just need to stop and listen to the rain.

Alene,
Sounds like the Lord was in the midst of the conference last weekend. And it’s so common to come down from a “high” and “crash” even spiritually speaking. Remember how Elijah had just called down fire from heaven to consume the sacrifice on Mt. Carmel and then only a few days later was running away scared from Jezebel??? You seem to be in really good company! :)
May God continue to bless and use you!

Praying you have a restful, peaceful week filled with His goodness and rest. It always ticks me off when satan tries to clobber me as I am coming down the mountain…
