I’m a little baffled, honored, and curious about something.
I have a statistic counter locked into my blog. It lets me know where you all are visiting from. I am always amazed how the world of the internet has opened so many doors for communication. I love the fact that you come from all over the world, yet you stop by my “bloggy home”. I love it when you leave me comments too!
My curiosity lies in the fact that over the course of the last year I have had numerous hits from Google searches. The search that interests me most, because it comes up quite often, is “prayer for safety”. I noticed after I posted a blog about A Prayer for Safety about a year ago that the hits would come every now and then. The hits got to be so frequent that I blogged another post on prayer.
In the last two days, I have had visitors to my blog from Singapore, Washington DC, New Jersey, Montana, Ohio, Australia, California, and the Philippines. These seven visitors all came searching for one thing: prayer for safety.
If anyone has any insight, I’d love to hear it. Maybe it is all due to the fact that we are living in such unsettling times.
If you are one that is stopping by looking for prayer, please shoot me an email. I’d love to pray for you and your situation.
I’m curious and amazed!

Alene, I think it is a reflection of how afraid people are all over the world, especially WOMEN. Women are oppressed in so many countries, with very little if any freedom that most of us take for granted. So many women in the world are abused (some with government approval); they are forced into sexual slavery; they have few basic human rights; they might not feel safe in their homes, their communities, or even be allowed to explore the world around them. Here in our country, there is good reason to pray for safety…safety for ourselves, safety for our troops, for our government that has been turned upside down, for our children and families, etc. Prayer for safety encompasses a lot of different things, with the common denominator of a feeling of deep insecurity. It's very hard to feel safe and secure when one is oppressed no matter who you are or where you live.

Tina said it very well. We are all searching for something. With unemployment and foreclosures hitting everyone, people are looking for something to stop the fear.
In a day when prayer is looked down on by the elitists as something for the uneducated, there is a ground swell of prayer that is about to shake the earth.
The very thing people are searching for can be found in prayer and worship.
It is truly the only thing that can save us!

That's so GREAT! The google search hits are the ones dearest to my heart! It's so great that you have God's Word there for them when they click on your link. God is amazing!

Insecurity and fear come from many different areas in our (my) life. I have found that the further away from God the more fearful I am. All I need do is pray, read, communicate and work on my faith. Then the fear subsides and I can again be thankful and secure. It's not always quick or easy, but God does grant me serenity in the midst of the troubles I bring upon myself.

Seems God is using you in mighty and unexpected ways. I just know that one day when we are in heaven and the Lord shows us all the ways He used us without our even knowing it, we will just be slayed–blown away. My prayer is that I am just faithful to my call. He will do the rest.

I have some posts that get hits all the time. I'm amazed also.
Prayer for safety in these times is an important subject.

Alene, this reminds me that God is using the bloggy world for more than we realize. What an encouragement to write about stuff that matters. I would like for you to pray for where I am headed now in my journey. I think God has something new for me and I want to b in step with Him on it. Thanks, B

Isn't God wonderful. Just when we think our words aren't making a difference, He allows us some insight into what He sees!
Keep doing what you're doing, my friend! You'll never know the full extent of the good you're doing until you see Jesus! I'm so blessed to know you and have you in my life!
