Today’s special! You know why??
I’m over at Amy in Wanderland’s place chatting about a very special man that taught me that the ghetto was not tied to a particular place. Oh yeah, and I’m also giving away a FREE print with a quote by a homeless sojourner. And guess what else? Sign up for the online study below and you can invite a friend for FREE (don’t miss this — Amy is one of our bonus conversation calls we will have during this series!)
Here’s a little sneak before you head to Amy’s:
I’ll never forget my first face-to-face encounter with the homeless. There he was . . . A man off the streets, tattered and unkempt. I’m not sure how he ended up at church, nor how I ended up in a conversation with him other than God had specifically arranged it.
Hop over to Amy’s HERE and be encouraged by the rest of the story! Oh but please come back after that, because I have a special gift for you.
A FREE downloadable print of the “ghetto is not a place” writing. You can download the jpg HERE. If you’d like to donate ANY amount or even buy the print off the site all the monies will go towards providing toiletry and goodie bags for those out on the streets and in the neighborhoods. More information coming soon as I’m off to learn from Debra George this Saturday. I can not wait — can. not. wait.
I have “Ghetto is Not a Place” mounted on 10×10 canvas hanging in my living room. It makes me smile as this homeless sojourner’s words are such a great reminder to me — it’s all about my heart!
How about you? Do you have a little ghetto in your heart that you need to claim victory over? If so, you have the perfect opportunity to join in the Online Bible Study starting in a few weeks — Easy Street is a Dead End. Sign up HERE. Mention you are stopping by from Amy’s and invite a friend for FREE.
Oh yes — I want a God-heart, not a ghetto-heart!

Loved your piece, it brought tears to my eyes. Because I have also met the homeless and they have become my friends. I am also guest posting about this very thing. Please come join me as we celebrate our new friends together :)
May God bless you as you continue to minister and befriend!

Joseph – thanks! You bless me. I’d love to hear more of your story – shoot come guest post for me. (email me if interested) I love it when God uses our down-and-out times and turns it in to ministry later for Him. I hope you are blessed beyond measure and it’s been a treat to have you visit.
