I love it when I get a glimpse into the hearts of my children. This is a poem my Lindsey wrote for a school project today. Her written words speak volumes to my heart. She doesn’t follow the crowd; Jesus didn’t follow the crowd either, and may I never.
The Crowd
Peers like to tell me what to do
They say “I know what’s best for you,”
Even when people are so loud
I refuse to follow the crowd
I know what they’re saying is wrong
Because it is the same ol’ song
I leave them there in a dust cloud
I refuse to follow the crowd
Finding new friends can be a chore
But their more than I could ask for
I know I make my parents proud
I refuse to follow the crowd

Wow! Well written! I hope I can help my kids have the same confidence in who they are in Jesus like you have for your daughter.

Sissy amazes me!! is so crazy that as the years go by even though we are 6 yrs apart we grow closer and closer and relate more and more to each other. Cant wait to be closer to you and dad and sis and bubba!!
