Are you an adventurous person? I like to think that I am, but I have to admit sometimes I struggle with stepping out of my comfort zone.
I was married at the age of 20. Crazy! Married a pilot in the Army. Lucky me! Our first duty assignment weeks after we married was to Frankfurt, Germany. What were my parents thinking?!!
I was full of adventure. This was going to be great. New hubby. New home. New country. Ad. Ven. Ture!!!
Well, loooooong story very short — after three weeks in Germany when I could’t speak the language, couldn’t drive a car, didn’t know my way around, and was going absolutely crazy I decided to set out. Adventure here we come. I found my way to the tram. But I had no idea where to go, nor how to find my way back. But I was determined!
What I did realize as I set out was a huge tower that bellowed above the city of Frankfurt. That tower could be seen from most everywhere. I knew if I would keep my eyes on the tower and not loose sight then I’d know where I was and how to find my way back to our home.
This is just what God requires as you step out with Him in faith. He beckons you to listen to His call and be daring enough to take the first step. Yes, it will be out of your comfort zone. But as long as you keep your eyes fixed on the Strong Tower, God, you’ll be good to go. You’ll navigate yourself well with your eyes fixed on Him because an incredible adventure awaits.
And friend, it’s worth the risk. Frankfurt was gorgeous when I got beyond my neighborhood. God has a whole world out there waiting for you. He wants to shine his light through you to every neighborhood and country.
Take the risk and step out as you say, “Adventure – Here we come!”
Stuff could always be worse says

I'm wondering if God is confirming something someone said last night.
They said they believe God may be calling me to speak.
As I pondered over that today I have so many reasons why I could not be a speaker. It will definitely be out of my comfort zone. Is an adventure awaiting me? I really don't know.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and leaving some comment luv.

getting past the neighborhood is a problem. blogging was an adventure for me :)
I was married at 19 and we moved to Hawaii a week later. My husband was in the Coast Guard. 15 months there was pretty confining (it was the big Island) – at that time – the road did not go all the way around the island – The longest you could drive was 60 miles before you had to turn around and go back. But the natives showed us the island hidden away in the middle of cane fields and places off the beaten paths. No one knew these beautiful sites were even there – except the natives.
Thanks for the memory – Those adventurous times were fun – and what treasures we found as a result.
